When enjoyment enters the sporting equation

In my not very long and un-illustrious career as a footballer, I have scored six goals, which averages out to just over one per season. This is a record I am proud of, despite playing nearly every match as a striker or attacking midfielder. As a result, scoring a goal is normally the highlight of any season, but this was not the case on Saturday. This particular goal was so un-glorious, it barely registered on my barometer of adrenaline, which in the context of my footballing expectations, is something of an achievement in itself. It went something like this:
